The Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 is the latest evolution of the Citation M2, which entered service in 2013. The Gen2 update introduced a number of enhancements, including the Garmin G3000 Touch avionics suite.

With entry into service expected later this year. The latest iteration of the Citation 560XL series boasts an entirely new cockpit, improved performance, and a luxurious flat-floor cabin.
The first production unit rolled out of the manufacturing facility in Wichita, Kansas. The newest Citation business jet version of the 560XL series is expected to achieve certification from the Federal Aviation Administration later this year.
The FAA Supplemental Type Certification (STC) for the Cessna Citation CJ1 offers an all-Garmin integrated solution for the popular light jet, featuring a similar avionics upgrade to the Cessna Citation CJ2
Gogo Business Aviation’s global Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) solution, Gogo Galileo HDX will be offered as a factory installation connectivity solution for the Cessna Citation Longitude, Citation Latitude and Citation Ascend. The LEO connectivity solution is expected to be available on the Citation Longitude beginning early 2026. Timing on the other aircraft will be announced at a later date.
Marketed under the Gen3 designation, the Cessna Citation M2 Gen3, CJ3 Gen3, and CJ4 Gen3 will feature Garmin Emergency Autoland technology. The Citation CJ4 Gen3 avionics will be upgraded to the next-generation Garmin G3000 PRIME replacing the Collins Pro Line 21 on the CJ4 Gen2.
Equipped with the Garmin G5000 integrated flight deck, the Cessna Midsize and Supe-Midsize flagship offering will soon feature an array of new advanced features and technology from Garmin that will improve pilot situational awareness and allow for lower approach minima. The new features are planned to enter service in new Latitude jets beginning in 2025 and new Longitude jets in 2026.
Developed in collaboration with 4AIR, the new SustainableAdvantage carbon offset program will provide Textron Aviation aircraft’s owners with additional options for reducing their carbon dioxide emissions.
The Citation CJ3 Gen2 was designed with input from a Textron Aviation Customer Advisory Board, made up of owners, pilots and mechanics . This feedback was key in every detailed enhancement in the aircraft, from cockpit to cabin.
Textron Aviation is currently developing the new jet for an expected enter into service in 2025.
