SmartSky Networks faced significant obstacles that contributed to its eventual downfall including the ongoing legal battle with Gogo over patent infringement claims and its supplier Wireless Systems Solutions (WSS) over IP theft and network deployment delays.
SmartSky Networks announced that sales and installation partner Davinci Jets has completed first article installation on the aircraft type. The SmartSky Flagship™ equipped aircraft has returned to service and FAA STC is expected in the coming months. SmartSky has 15 available STCs and more than a dozen in progress.
