Known as Beechcraft Super King Air 300 until 1996 where the super designation was removed. The KA300 was introduced in 1974 as a larger version of the 1960’s King Air Model 65-90.
The King Air 300 uses a cleaned-up B200’s airframe with more powerful 1050 horsepower PT6A-60A engines installed in a redesigned cowlings. The first flight was completed on September 3, 1983.
The King Air 350 version is based on the King Air 300 with a 3.4-feet wingspan increase and the addition of new winglets. A 2.9-feet fuselage stretch allows for a 17-feet main cabin, long enough for double club seating arrangement. The 2009 King Air 350i saw the cabin sound level reduced by 4 dB, and a large number of cabin improvements.
