The Jet Aviation initiative underscores Jet Aviation’s commitment to supporting the business aviation industry’s sustainability goals. The provision of SAF at this high-profile event aligns with the broader sustainability themes central to the World Economic Forum (WEF) agenda.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel is produced from renewable feedstocks including waste materials, agricultural residues, and non-food crops. SAF can reduce lifecycle carbon emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional jet fuel when blended at certified proportions, making it the most immediately available tool for reducing business aviation’s carbon footprint.

“Jet Aviation is proud to support the sustainability goals of the World Economic Forum and our customers by providing SAF at Samedan Airport during this year’s Annual Meeting,” said a Jet Aviation spokesperson. “We recognize our responsibility as a leading business aviation services provider to make sustainable choices accessible to our customers, and we are committed to expanding SAF availability across our global FBO network.”

The initiative is part of Jet Aviation’s broader sustainability strategy, which includes investments in infrastructure to support SAF distribution, partnerships with SAF producers and suppliers, and customer education programs to encourage the adoption of sustainable fuels. Jet Aviation operates a global network of FBOs and aviation services facilities across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.

Business aviation has faced increasing scrutiny over its environmental impact, and the industry has responded by committing to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. SAF is widely recognized as the most important near-term tool for achieving this goal, with major industry bodies including NBAA and EBAA actively promoting SAF adoption among operators and service providers.
