The Citation XLS+ is the second iteration of the very successful 1998 Citation Excel (Model 560XL). This light jet model was designed by combining the Citation V (Model 560) Wing and cruciform tail, with the stand-up fuselage of the Citation X (Model 750), creating one of the largest cabins in the light jet category.
The 2008 Citation XLS+ version, introduced an improved FADEC controlled Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545C Engines. The flight deck was also upgraded from Honeywell Primus 1000 to Collins Aerospace Pro Line 21 avionics.
