Details

The HA-420 HondaJet is the first aircraft developed by Honda Aircraft Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japanese Honda Motor Company. Developed in Japan, the airplane is assembled in Greensboro, North Carolina. Launched in 2004, the first HondaJet prototype took to the sky on December 20, 2010. The FAA certification was received in December 2015 following many years of development and certification delays. The Low-wing very light jet is recognizable by the unique engine mounting configuration above the wing. The improved HondaJet Elite entered service in 2018 introducing many flight deck and cabin new functionalities together with a set of airfield performance enhancements.  The 2021 Elite S comes with an increased maximum takeoff weight of 200 lbs, allowing for an up to 120 nm range increase. The jet was updated again in 2022, with the certification of the HondaJet Elite II upgraded version featuring a host of key advancements in performance and comfort. The Elite II pushes the range to 1,547 nm with increased fuel capacity and a 200lb MTOW increase.
