The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification marks a significant milestone in the Global 8000’s path to global service entry, opening European registration and delivery options for customers across the continent and enabling operators to leverage the aircraft’s exceptional performance on routes connecting Europe with destinations worldwide.
“The EASA certification of the Global 8000 is a landmark moment for Bombardier and for our customers,” said Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier. “The Global 8000 is not just the fastest business jet in the world — it offers an unmatched combination of speed, range, and cabin comfort that redefines what is possible in business aviation. We are excited to bring this exceptional aircraft to operators across Europe.”
The Global 8000 is capable of cruising at Mach 0.94, making it the world’s fastest certified business jet. It has a maximum range of 8,000 nautical miles, enabling non-stop flights between London and Singapore or New York and Riyadh. The aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines, which deliver exceptional performance while meeting the most stringent noise and emissions standards.
The Global 8000 cabin offers Bombardier’s signature Nuage seating, exceptional natural light from large windows, and the highest cabin pressure in its class, ensuring passengers arrive feeling refreshed even after ultra-long-range missions. The aircraft’s advanced fly-by-wire system provides exceptional handling characteristics and reduces pilot workload.
Bombardier delivered its first Global 8000 customer aircraft in 2024. With EASA certification now secured, the company anticipates accelerating deliveries to European customers, who represent a significant portion of the global demand for ultra-long-range business jets.
