Global 7500

Bombardier Global 7500 | Raising the bar in the ultra-long-range segment

Bombardier once again strengthened its position as an industry leader earlier this fall, announcing the 150th delivery of an ultra-long-range Bombardier Global 7500 jet, a program that has redefined the ultra-long-range sector. The smooth ride, sophisticated design, proven performance, and advanced technology have garnered industry recognition internationally. The exceptional capabilities have ensured an impressive fleet dispatch reliability of over 99.8% and more than 100,000 flight hours.

The Global 7500 business jet delivers an impressive range of 7,700 NM and at 51,000 ft can hold a top cruise speed of Mach 0.925. This aerodynamic efficiency is record-setting. In October 2019, the Global 7500 recorded the longest flight in business aviation, flying 8,225 nautical miles from Sydney, Australia, to Detroit, Michigan. It recently added a further 20-speed record mission on several key routes, showcasing its impressive performance attributes.

Innovative design elements set the benchmark for an exceptional cabin. With a height of 6 feet 2 inches and a width of 8 feet, its interior spans 54 feet 5 inches to accommodate up to 19 passengers in superior comfort. Four true living areas offer a forward lounge for meetings, an entertainment area, a flexible and configurable dining area served from a superbly equipped kitchen, and a relaxed like-home bedroom with a full-sized bed and ensuite.

Bombardier’s patented, ergonomic Nuage seat features the industry’s first zero-gravity position and is complemented by the Nuage chaise. Bombardier’s advanced Soleil lighting system helps to balance circadian rhythms and combined with the Bombardier Pũr Air purification system circulating 100% fresh air, reduces jet lag. The innovative nice Touch Cabin Management System (CMS), tailored specifically for the Global 7500 jet, adds to the onboard experience with its elegant environmental control technology.

Productivity and entertainment are enabled through a consistent, high-speed broadband connection. The ultra-fast capabilities and impeccably designed interior enable videoconferencing by day and streaming movies by night to the industry’s only 55-inch high-definition TV screen.  The expansive interior enables a streamlined transition from the terrestrial world to flight above the clouds.

Bombardier Global 8000

Set to enter into service in 2025, the Global 8000 aircraft program takes the incredible attributes of the Global 7500 aircraft to another level. Boasting an industry-leading range of 8,000 NM and an unbeatable top speed of Mach 0.94, the Global 8000 program has already executed nearly 150 flight test hours on the aircraft, including ground testing, and clocked up close to 1,000 hours on the ground systems.

It is the world’s fastest and longest-range purpose-built business jet, the fastest civil aircraft since Concorde, and the fastest aircraft assembled in Canada in five decades. Flying faster and farther than any aircraft in its class, the Global 8000 is capable of more than 4,200 nm at an average cruise speed of Mach 0.92 at altitudes of 51,000 ft.

To reach and achieve these in-service speeds and, more importantly, to qualify the aircraft, Bombardier had to fly supersonic, achieving 1.01 Mach in test flights. Bombardier contracted the services of a NASA F/A 18 Hornet to serve as a chase plane and official observer. During the validation, the Global 8000 test pilots made history, becoming the fastest men in business aviation, and Bombardier delivered another legendary moment, flying supersonically on sustainable aviation fuel.

In addition to the phenomenal speeds, the Global 8000 jet retains the award-winning pedigree for which the Global 7500 aircraft is renowned. Its short-field performance unlocks more city pairs than other similar and even smaller-sized jets can reach, including Dubai to Houston, London to Perth, and Singapore to Los Angeles. The 4th generation Smooth Flĕx Wing delivers a signature smooth ride. The aircraft is designed through a sustainable lens, reflecting both the company’s and a growing number of its customers’ priorities.

The meticulously crafted features of the Global 7500 business jet are echoed in the interior design, but the Global 8000 aircraft goes further.  The healthiest cabin in the industry features Bombardier’s Pũr Air and advanced HEPA filter technology for the cleanest and fastest fresh air replacement. At 41,000 ft., the cabin altitude is 2,900 ft., making it the lowest cabin altitude in the industry. The next-generation fly-by-wire technology, the Bombardier Vision flight deck blends cutting-edge avionics with exceptional ergonomics and aesthetics for remarkable comfort and control for the crew.

Current Global 7500 owners and operators can also enjoy the enviable Global 8000 experience as the performance improvements will be available as a retrofit for existing Global 7500 aircraft customers.
