In 2000, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer announced its entry into the executive jets market through the conversion of its popular ERJ135 regional aircraft. The business variant originally designated as the Legacy 2000 shortly become the Legacy 600. Overtime the Legacy 600 saw many improvements through successive Maximum Take-Off Weight & fuel capacity increase giving the latest Legacy 650 variant an impressive 3900 nm range.

The Enhanced Legacy 650E is the third evolution of the Legacy 600 model with the addition of synthetic vision and standard AutoThrottles function.

The Three zones Legacy 650E offers the largest cabin in the large jets segment. The standard interior includes ten large first-class seats, a plush divan, as well as large tables catering for dining and meeting. This regional aircraft derivative also features a full-sized galley for hot and cold meal preparation, plus an aft lavatory which is the largest in its class.

The main inflight-accessible baggage compartment offers an impressive 240-cubic foot volume. The in-flight storage capacity is increased by an additional 46-cubic feet volume offered by the credenza and wardrobes monuments.

The legacy 650E flight deck features the Honeywell Primus Elite™ avionics suite, an upgraded version of the CRT based ERJ135 Primus 1000.

The cockpit is configured with a dual cursor control device (CCD), five multi-function LCD Displays with Synthetic Vision System (SVS) display capability, and a baseline AutoThrottles function. A large selection of Honeywell safety features is available such as the popular RAAS with SmartRunway™ and SmartLanding™ alerting systems.
