Developed as a successor of the IAI Astra Galaxy business jet – Gulfstream G200-. Israel assembled G280 is the first iteration of the jet that incorporate Gulfstream design elements since its acquisition of the program.
Launched in 2008. The G280 achieved its first flight on December 11, 2009, in Tel Aviv prior to completing its FAA certification by September 2012. Designed in concert with the G650, the G280 is a testimonial to Gulfstream know-how with best in class speed, range, and airfield performance combination.
The G280 features a spacious cabin with seating for up to ten passengers in two seating zones. The standard G280 cabin layout accommodates eight passengers in a double club seating configuration. The wide cabin allows for a four-place conference table with opposing divan or two-place club seating optional configuration.
The nineteen large windows cabin offers a large forward wet galley, an elegant aft vacuum lavatory, and a very generous in-flight accessible baggage compartment.
The G280 PlaneView280 flight deck is powered by the latest generation Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion integrated avionics suite.
The flight deck features three high-resolution 15-inch LCD displays configuration with dual standby multifunction controllers and Gulfstream signature dual cursor control devices. The G280 is one of the best equipped super-midsize jets with standard features including Automatic Braking System, AutoThrottles, and Emergency Descent Mode. Available options include Synthetic Vision on the Primary Flight Display and Head-Up display installation with Enhanced Vision capability.
